What is it?

Strataderm® is a once per day professional scar therapy gel. It is a rapidly drying, non-sticky transparent silicone gel that can be used on old or new scars.
NOTE if your wound is still open, you should use Stratamed® - Advanced Film-Forming Wound Dressing until the wound is fully closed.

Who can use Strataderm®?

Strataderm® is designed for all skin types. It is suitable for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, children or people with sensitive skin.
  • Strataderm® contains no active ingredients and is therefore suitable for all skin types, children, people with sensitive skin, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
  • Strataderm® is transparent and odorless. It does not contain alcohol, fragrances or parabens.
  • Strataderm® is not absorbed by your skin.
  • Strataderm® is suitable for all skin types.
  • Strataderm® is non-reactive with no measurable pH.
  • Strataderm ® is easy to use at home.

How to use Strataderm®?

  • Strataderm® is easy to use – just once a day or after each wash.
  • For best results, Strataderm should stay in continuous contact with the skin (24 hours a day/7 days a week).

Applying Strataderm®

Step 1: Prepare your skin

Ensure that your skin is clean and dry.

Step 2: Apply Strataderm®

Apply a very thin layer of Strataderm® to the relevant areas with your fingertips and distribute evenly. Strataderm® does not penetrate the skin.

Step 3: Allow the gel to dry

When applied correctly, Strataderm® should be dry in 3–4 minutes.
If it takes longer to dry you have probably applied too much. Gently remove any excess gel with a tissue or paper towel and allow the drying process to continue. Remember: a little amount of gel goes a long way.
Step 4: You are ready to go!

Once dry, Strataderm® can be covered with clothes, sunscreen or cosmetics.
 

Removing Strataderm®

Remove from skin: Excess Strataderm® on your hands can be easily removed by washing them with liquid soap and warm water. Repeat if necessary.

Remove from clothes: Strataderm® may stain clothing if not completely dry. If staining occurs, dry cleaning should be able to remove it without damaging the fabric.

What is the correct tube size for me?

Strataderm® 5g is enough to treat a 2-3 cm linear scar for over 90 days. Each application needs an amount around the size of 1 grain of rice.

Strataderm® 10g is enough to treat a 5-7 cm linear scar for over 90 days.  Each application needs an amount around the size of 2 grains of rice.

Strataderm® 20g is enough to treat a 10-14 cm linear scar for over 90 days.  Each application needs an amount around the size of 3 grains of rice.

Strataderm® 50g is enough to treat an area of 6×12 cm for over 90 days.  Each application needs an amount around the size of 4 grains of rice.

  • Strataderm® may stain clothing if not completely dry.
  • If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Do not use after the expiration (EXP) date printed on the tube.
